The 2023 Hot Chefs & Cool Jazz Gala, in support of Junior Culinary Team Canada, will be hosted by Fairmont Pacific Rim Executive Chef Damon Campbell. Top culinary talent from the Vancouver and Kelowna areas will be providing exclusive dishes specifically designed for the event.

Join us for a night to remember as BC's top chefs get together for one night only. This experience is one you don't want to miss. Enjoy live chef cooking stations, featuring exclusive dishes designed for this event only, paired with award winning Mission Hill wines, all accompanied with live jazz music. This years Jazz band will the the Miles Black Quartet. Miles is a Vancouver BC based composer, songwriter, arranger and multi- instrumentalist Miles Black has over 40 years of professional experience.

Come celebrate the amazing accomplishments of Community Catering Team Canada, who placed 2nd place in the world, consisting of Captain, Chef Tina Tang (Kelowna), Chef Warren Chow (Vancouver), Chef Heejo Jung (Vancouver) and Chef Leah Patitucci (Vancouver). As well as, Junior Culinary Team Canada whom are made up of young chefs from across Canada. Team Captains Claire Roque (Vancouver) and Daniel Calabrese (Toronto), along with chefs Chloe Sy (Kelowna), Ottis Crabbe (Victoria/Ucluelet) and Joey Mai (Winnipeg) and who competed in two categories.

This year’s gala will also welcome Dawn Chubai as our master of ceremonies. In addition to her current role in Toronto as National Host at TSC, Canada’s only television shopping network. Dawn’s hosting resume includes cooking and real estate shows along with her previous role as host of Breakfast Television Vancouver. Dawn is also an accomplished jazz vocalist and award winning recording artist.

Each chef will be paired with a member of Junior Culinary Team Canada or Community Catering Team Canada, and will cook right in front of you in the Star Sapphire Ballroom at Fairmont Pacific Rim

VIP Tickets - 6:30 pm - $325 (all taxes and fees included)

The VIP experience will include early access to the event at 6:30 pm. Exclusive use of the VIP lounge and VIP wine station including Mission Hill Wines' Legacy Collection. As well as and exclusive dishes designed by Chef Damon Campbell of Fairmont Pacific Rim.

General Admission - 7:15 pm - $225 (all taxes and fees included)

All proceeds from ticket sales for the event will support Junior Culinary Team Canada as they prepare to compete at the Culinary World Olympics in 2024 - the largest, oldest, and most colourful international exhibition of culinary arts with chefs from all over the world competing. The Gala’s host, Chef Campbell, was team captain for Culinary Team Canada in 2005 and 2006, leading them to gold medal victories at the World Culinary Olympics in Germany. In 2003 and 2004, he was also a silver medal winner as a member of Team British Columbia with numerous gold and silver wins across Canada.
